Thursday Meetings

NEXT MEETING:  Thursday, December 17, 2015
MODERATOR:  Liesa Malik

CURRENTLY ATTENDING (12/16 – 8:00 pm):
Readers: 8
Critics: 1

Please bring 5 copies of your work for 2 alcoves of reading. REMEMBER: We’ve switched locations to Tattered Cover of Aspen Grove.

Dear Writer,

Welcome to Thursday nights at Panera Bread!  Our group for this evening consists of a nice, healthy, 46 members. This sounds like a lot of people, but generally speaking we normally have approximately 12 to 15 people attend on any given Thursday.

To handle the size of the meeting so that everyone receives the attention they deserve, we break up into tables that allow approximately 40 minutes per reader. This time is used to share the author’s work, have critics write their comments, and then use a few minutes to give oral criticisms.

Our goal is to have four readers per table and a handful of critics, so tables usually number 4 to 6 people.  Wednesday evenings, if you have responded to the weekly email invitation, you should receive a note with the most accurate number of attendees available at the time.

Unfortunately, emergencies occur, so a guaranteed number of copies to make is not possible at this time.  However, please see above for the current attendance count throughout the week.

The meeting runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., but a lot of people show up early to share a few minutes socializing or eating dinner from our terrific hosts at the restaurant.

We’ll look forward to seeing you at Panera’s and wish you well on your writing adventure.

  1. Hi Liesa,
I would like to attend Thursday night for the first time. I don’t need to read anything but am happy to critique.
