Each year Writer’s Digest magazine sponsors a huge writing contest with over 6,300 entrants in 10 categories, and prizes ranging from $25 to $3,000 for work in fiction, non-fiction and all manner of writing for publication.
This year, Littleton Writers’ member ZJ Czupor placed 6th for his mainstream/literary short story, Down in Disappointment Valley. You can see his name in print in the November/December issue of Writer’s Digest.
CHUCK SAMBUCHINO COMES TO THE DENVER AREA
Last week, Chuck Sambuchino of Writer’s Digest contacted Littleton Writers to let us know that he’s coming to the Denver Area for a couple of one-day seminars that are open to all of us. For $129 (when you register by October 20), you can experience a mini Colorado Gold with what look to be some great presentations. The seminars are on the following dates:
- Friday, November 14th – Boulder Inn, Boulder, CO
- Saturday, November 15th – Ross Cherry Creek Branch Library, Denver CO
Chuck, an editor with Writer’s Digest Books also oversees one of the biggest blogs in editing, the Guide to Literary Agents blog. He alone would be well worth the investment, but there are going to be several workshops and pitch sessions. Be sure to check out Colorado Writing Workshops on line.
